Basic endurance area 2

The basic endurance area 2 represents a training area of the bike training.

Training in basic endurance area 2 is used to economize and develop basic endurance. Energy provision is predominantly aerobic with a blood lactate value of 3 mmol/l.

In basic endurance zone 2, the intensity is low to moderate with a distance of 50-300 km in a flat to slightly undulating course profile. The optimal heart rate can be determined by performance diagnostics and should be about 75-80% of the maximum heart rate. With a gear ratio of 4.8-6.0 m, the cadence is 80-110 rpm. The power range for basic endurance training 2 is 77-90% of IANS / FTP.

Training methods are the alternating continuous power method and the driving game.
