Description
SPONSER BCAA INSTANT is a micronized, instantized powder for mixing into sports drinks or shakes. BCAAs are the branched-chain amino acids leucine, isoleucine and valine, which are combined here in the optimal ratio of 3:1:1. BCAAs belong to the essential amino acids, which the body cannot produce itself.
Function & Field of Application
BCAA INSTANT is equally suitable for use in strength and endurance training. BCAAs are especially needed and metabolized during physical exertion. With BCAA INSTANT, the drink or shake can be supplemented with specific amino acids to delay the breakdown of the body’s own amino structures, thus supporting the build-up and maintenance of muscle mass. Numerous studies have also demonstrated a positive impact of BCAAs on fatigue resistance, especially in ultra-endurance events.
Variants and ingredients
SPONSER offers BCAA INSTANT as a ready-flavoured cola drink or pure for addition to other products. The BCAA Cola Drink is additionally enriched with taurine and vitamins, which contribute to the reduction of fatigue and to a normal energy metabolism.
For your information: Pure BCAA is also available in the form of capsules (BCAA CAPSULES).
Leucine
Leucine is the most important amino acid in terms of muscle protein synthesis. It plays the “trigger”, i.e. has the “igniter” function for the growth stimulus and new formation of muscles. SPONSER’s BCAA formulations provide the maximum permitted daily leucine dosages according to Swiss food law.
Isoleucine, Valine
Together with leucine, these two amino acids stimulate muscle protein synthesis not only as protein building materials, but also through their cellular signaling function.
Supplied as well as the body’s own BCAAs can be used for energy production (gluconeogenesis) during prolonged physical exertion, when the body’s energy stores (glycogen reserves) run low.
taurine*
Taurine has primarily an antioxidant function and is involved in many metabolic processes. However, taurine is not an amino acid and does not have an activating or fatigue-retarding effect as is commonly assumed due to its widespread use in energy drinks.
Vitamins C, B2, B6, B12, niacin and pantothenic acid contribute to the reduction of fatigue and normal energy metabolism. Vitamin B6 supports normal protein and glycogen metabolism, folic acid supports normal amino acid metabolism.
